Coach Fonzell and Tommy have over 50 years of combined coaching experience. Twenty years ago, before Austin Elite was created, Fonzell led the Austin Lady Knights while Tommy ran the Austin Lady Warriors. Together, they have been a staple of grassroots basketball on a National level, building a legacy through innovation, loyalty, and passion. Together they have helped over 285+ kids play collegiate basketball. Known as the OGs, they have continued to mentor and coach the next wave of club coaches. “The Legacy Continues”

Aaron Gregg

Aaron Gregg

Aaron Gregg, a native of Austin, Texas, emerged from high school as a standout basketball player, swiftly transitioning to collegiate success. With a journey that traversed from being a high school star to becoming a collegiate champion, Aaron earned recognition with All-ASC honors and showcased his leadership by guiding his team to an ASC championship. As the son of a coach, Aaron embodies the qualities of leadership and mentorship, combined with the strategic mindset of a point guard. Now, he is eager to give back to the youth, sharing his profound basketball knowledge and instilling in them the same love for the game that has fueled his own journey.
Coach Troi

Troi Swain

Troi Swain back to the Austin Elite program! Austin native, Swain graduated from McNeil in 2014 as the women's all time and leading scorer (2522 points), all time steals leader (527 steals), and second leading scorer of all time in school history, to name a few accolades. She finished her collegiate career in 2018 at the University of Louisiana Lafayette. Following college, she coached (boys and girls) and was a math teacher for 3 years. Swain is now a Nutrition Coach, Personal Trainer, and Stretching & Flexibility Coach, who is looking forward to impacting the youth in a positive way with her knowledge of the game and expertise in other areas.

Grant Neunaber

Grant is a native Austinite that has watch, officiated, played, trained and coached basketball his entire life. After playing at the collegiate level, he developed a love for training and coaching our youth. With over 10 yrs expereince, he puts a strong emphasis on player development, basketball IQ and fundamentals. He combines his knowledge of the game with a passion of teaching athletes the value of discipline and hardwork. He recently lead our 15u team.

Imani Robinson

Imani Robinson, a former AE stand out for 3 yrs, starred for Cedar Ridge Round Rock girls basketball team before heading to University of Incarnate Word where she racked up multiple honors, including the Southland Conference (SLC) Freshman of the Year in 2017, the All-SLC 3rd in 2018, and the SLC 1st Team in 2020.  Imani completed her undergraduate degree earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and a minor in marketing.  Robinson also played professional basketball abroad, playing in Spain in 2021 and then Egypt in 2023. She has coached 3 seasons with AE. Most recently she worked as Director of Basketball Operations for ACU – Abilene Christian University.
